Precautions for Transformer Recycling

Release time:2025-06-20

According to a survey of material recycling data, consumers are now paying more attention to the effective utilization of resources, and the use of second-hand products is becoming increasingly widespread to ensure safety. With years of construction experience, they can cooperate with sales and installation units, and the rapid dismantling is to save customers' valuable time. All dismantling is free of charge.

Precautions for Transformer Recycling:

1. What conditions should two transformers be in parallel?

(1) Same transformation ratio;

(2) The short-circuit impedance is the same;

(3) Same wiring group;

(4) The phase sequence is the same.

2. What are the cooling methods for transformers?

(1) Oil immersed self cooling;

(2) Oil immersed air cooling;

(3) Strong oil circulation air cooling;

(4) Strong oil guided air cooling.

3. What is graded insulation?

What should be noted during the operation of transformers with graded insulation?

The so-called graded insulation refers to the main insulation of the transformer coil near the neutral point, whose insulation level is lower than that of the coil end. Transformers with graded insulation are generally only allowed to operate when the neutral point is directly grounded.

4. Why is there a surge current when the transformer is closed?

The relationship between excitation current and magnetic flux in transformer coils is determined by the magnetization characteristics. The more saturated the iron core, the greater the excitation current required to generate a certain amount of magnetic flux. Due to the fact that under normal circumstances, the magnetic flux in the iron core is already saturated. If the circuit is closed under unfavorable conditions, the magnetic flux density in the iron core can reach twice the normal value. The saturation of the iron core will be very severe, reducing its magnetic conductivity and excitation reactance, resulting in a significant increase in the excitation current value. The current waveform determined by the magnetization characteristics is very sharp, and this surge current can exceed 6-8 times the rated current of the transformer. Therefore, due to the conversion of electrical and magnetic energy in transformers, the phase angle of the voltage at the moment of closing, and the saturation degree of the iron core, there will be excitation inrush current when the transformer is closed. The magnitude of the excitation inrush current will be affected by the residual magnetism of the iron core and the phase angle of the+closing voltage.

5. What are the hazards of sudden short circuit to transformers?

There are two hazards of sudden short circuit to transformer coils:

(1) Exposure of the coil to strong electromagnetic forces may result in damage;

(2) Causing severe heating of the coil.
